“Mississippi Girl” has what Serabee calls a “chicken neck groove.” You cannot
listen to it without rocking your neck. The song came to her as she was picking
mint leaves in her garden and craved some Cathead vodka then ran to the store with
her little dog hanging her head out the window. The result is a contemporary
urban legend and boot camp style history lesson on the magnolia state, from
the delta to the coast, covering university rivalries, musical greats and the life
of a Mississippi girl.
