Kaleidoscope Sound is an album by the band Soundtrack Era based out of Mandeville, Louisiana. The influences for the songs are drawn from the songwriting of Bob Dylan, the music of Pink Floyd, and the feel of 90 alternative music with a hint of Tom Petty Americana rock. Lyrics are introspective with a positive outcome on life lessons told through many different lenses. The musical style ranges from classic Americana to jazz, to psychedelic 90’s rock.

The song came to her as she was picking<br>mint leaves in her garden and craved some Cathead vodka then ran to the store with<br>her little dog hanging her head out the window. The result is a contemporary<br>urban legend and boot camp style history lesson on the magnolia state, from<br>the delta to the coast, covering university rivalries, musical greats and the life<br>of a Mississippi girl.<br><br>Recorded at Rabadash Studios in Mandeville, LA with Serabee’s Roots Revival<br>Band, “Mississippi Girl” features New Orleans blues harmonica player, Jason<br>Ricci and is produced by Serabee and Jon Cristian Duque.

Echoes In The Park - Soundtrack Era (Single - Digital Download - WAV)

The first single from their upcoming album, “Echoes in the park” is a song about reflecting on the innocence, simplicity, and dreams of youth while trying, as an adult, to keep that sense of wonder and positivity. The music and themes found in the lyrics are heavily influenced by Pink Floyd’s music and feel, which help to create the dreamy atmospheric quality in the song.<br>

Written on the plane from Miami, on her way back to New Orleans, Sera felt being out of town<br>gave her the energy to come home and finish up Hummingbird Tea. She had gotten a new<br>lease on life after being cooped up for a couple of years due to the Covid pandemic. “New<br>Orleans” is a homecoming song of sorts as she pines for the NOLA culture that is unique with its<br>food, sounds, smells and people. Recorded in one take, she and legendary drummer Russell<br>Batiste and bassist Michael Batiste grooved on the vibes in the studio as the tape rolled on.<br>Sera feels that this song brings people together, as it proved at her live shows as being a new<br>favorite in her setlist.

Bayou Christmas, the New Holiday Single by Serabee, will have you dancing in<br>your seat, tapping on your steering wheel and pressing repeat!<br>Drawing from her roots in the Louisiana swamps and Mississippi Delta, Serabee<br>tells of its culture, the colorful way they do Christmas and also of the<br>heartbreaking loss of family, friends, bandmates and local icons.<br>The driving force and urgency to release the song was the most recent and<br>sudden loss of her drummer, New Orleans legend, Russell Batiste, known as<br>“The Young Lion.”<br>The new song, “Bayou Christmas,” was originally written a few years ago when<br>Serabee’s uncle passed away and was an attempt to try and help her cousins<br>smile a bit through their first Christmas without him.<br>After Russell’s passing this September, Serabee knew this was the song she<br>needed to record and she made a quick rewrite. She asked his younger brother,<br>Jamal Batiste, who’s been filling in on drums for Serabee’s Roots Revival Band<br>on Wednesday nights at The Bourbon Orleans Hotel, to record “Bayou<br>Christmas” in honor of Russell, to which Jamal lovingly agreed.<br>Recorded at Rabadash Studios in Mandeville, LA.
